“Sinkane” now on itunes, other updates

you can now download the new Sinkane record from itunes.com 

official street date is now july 11th. i’m playing with yeasayer these days so you can find sinkane records at yeasayer shows.

Pre-Order “Sinkane” from Insound.com

You can now pre-order the new Sinkane record from insound.com. The CD will be released on Emergency Umbrella Records next month followed by a Vinyl release soon after. I’m really happy with the final product and I think you all will be as well.

I should have some of them for sale on the upcoming Born Ruffians tour as well. Once the album is released you will be able to purchase it from record stores ’round the country as well as EU’s site and mine.

Remember that song? Reminds me so much of my youth. So Wild. Did you guys know that he’s Canadian?! I don’t know why I find that fascinating but I do.

There was a 3CB poster for a Deathly Fighter show sometime last year that had a political figure wearing sunglasses with the Rolling Stones lips over his mouth. I loved it so much on him that I had to put it on my own face. 3CB rules. C-Bus rules. Speaking of Deathly Fighter I recently heard their new record and it absolutely slays. Rumor is Columbus Discount Records will be releasing it sometime in 2009. Make sure to pick up as many copies as possible. 

I’m about to leave with Born Ruffians for a while to play some shows so blog updates might be less frequent. I’ll try to keep up, tho.

Buy the rest of my “Color Voice” copies directly from me!

On myspace you can find a cheap online store thing that I made to sell off the remainder of the Color Voice CDs and LPs that I have on me. There are very few left and this record will NOT be repressed so get ‘em while you still can.

I’m trying to set up an onlne store on this blog but the paypal code doesn’t seem to work. I should have a fully functioning store where you can purchase all my merch (CDs, LPs, t-shirts, etc…) up by the time of the record release (May).

2009 plans

My song “Great Ghost” will be featured on a compilation put out by the Baltimore art collective Convenient Light. The comps will be hand made and limited to 100 copies. You can check on their website for more info.

I recently played guitar on a song with my good friends Dark Meat that will be put out on PPM Records. The Single will be released on 7″ format.

My next record, “Sinkane”, will be released in Spring 2009 on Emergency Umbrella Records followed by a tour and further recording of another album that I wish to release in Autumn/Winter 2009.

Finally, I will be on the David Letterman show on Dec. 18th playing with of Montreal. Everyone should tune in and see us play!
